We’re inviting you to share the warmth by nominating someone special for a chance to win a beautifully curated WillowWarm hamper. Each hamper includes our premium  WillowWarm briquettes, along with a selection of wonderful goodies to enjoy!

Perhaps someone surprised you with flowers or sent a thoughtful card. Maybe a neighbour dropped off dinner when you were feeling low or took in your bins without being asked. Even the smallest gestures can mean a huge deal and are beautiful examples of Random Acts of Warmth.

To enter, simply nominate a friend, family member, or neighbour who you feel deserves an extra-cosy winter. We’ll be selecting four heartfelt entries to receive a surprise visit and a hamper full of winter cheer.

To be in with a chance of winning, we invite you to nominate a friend, family member or neighbour who deserves a warm and cosy winter. In addition to submitting their nomination and story via WillowWarm.ie, entries must also like and share our social competition post. We will select 4 winners.

Research shows that random acts of kindness at least have a positive effect on the well being of the giver (Curry et al., 2018). Often, the receiver will want to do something nice in return when they get the opportunity. Via the principle of “Pay it forward”, this can also have positive ripple effects on society.

Fire logs can mean genuine hardwood kiln-dried logs for burning in your open fire or the more recently introduced “fire logs” made from compressed wood chippings.

This premium grade kiln dried firewood has the major advantages that it is easy to light, produces very little ash, has a high heat output, and is environmentally friendly. It will also produce a minimum amount of soot and tar in your chimney. Kiln-dried means that it contains 20% less moisture than other kinds of firewood, making it incredibly easy to light.

Since the kiln-dried wood is much cleaner than the seasoned wood, they are easier to ignite, easier to store, and there is much less chance of choking up your chimney with deposits. Also, the kiln-dried wood’s low moisture content means they are lighter and easier to carry.

Benefits of Kiln Dried Fire Logs

Long story short, Kiln Dried Firelogs are easy to ignite and produce hot, aromatic fire that lasts. They are recommended to use in a multi-stove, fireplaces, open fires, or any other wood-burning appliance. Because of their high heat output compared to seasoned wood, you’ll use much less firewood, which in term long term means you’ll save money.

Sold in bags of ready-chopped pieces of firewood, this product is easy to store and requires no preparation to use to start your fire. It is ideal for use in both open fires and closed appliances such as heaters, boilers, or multi-fuel stoves.

Whatever combination of solid fuels you may use in your open fire, always having a stock of kiln-dried firewood to hand adds great character and warmth to any hearth!
