We’re inviting you to share the warmth by nominating someone special for a chance to win a beautifully curated WillowWarm hamper. Who’s made your day a little warmer recently?

Perhaps someone surprised you with flowers or sent a thoughtful card. Maybe a neighbour dropped off dinner when you were feeling low or took in your bins without being asked. Even the smallest gestures can mean a huge deal and are beautiful examples of Random Acts of Warmth.

To enter, simply nominate a friend, family member, or neighbour who you feel deserves an extra-cosy winter. Share their story with us at WillowWarm.ie and be sure to like and share our competition post on social media. We’ll be selecting four heartfelt entries to receive a surprise visit and a hamper full of winter cheer.

Research shows that simple acts of kindness not only lift the spirits of those who receive them but also improve the wellbeing of those who give them. Through the idea of paying it forward, your act of recognition could spark a ripple effect of goodwill across the community.

This Winter, WillowWarm is running a “Random Acts of Warmth” competition

Maybe someone sent you flowers or you received a ‘thinking of you’ card. Or maybe someone made you cookies or sent over dinner. Did someone do something unexpected for you at home? Like taking the dog for a walk. Or tried to be very quiet so you could nap. Or emptied the dishwasher without being asked. ALL of those are Random Acts of Warmth.

To be in with a chance of winning, we invite you to nominate a friend, family member or neighbour who deserves a warm and cosy winter. In addition to submitting their nomination and story via WillowWarm.ie, entries must also like and share our social competition post. We will select 4 winners.

Research shows that random acts of kindness at least have a positive effect on the well being of the giver (Curry et al., 2018). Often, the receiver will want to do something nice in return when they get the opportunity. Via the principle of “Pay it forward”, this can also have positive ripple effects on society.
